Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. Click here to see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale.

Supplies Needed

HANGERS – in order to protect your clothing items we only accept plastic hangers. Find plastic hangers at Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar Stores. Retail plastic hangers are acceptable too.

STRING TAGS – Avery White Marking Tags Strung (size 1.75 x 1.093 inches) are required on each item to affix our barcode labels to. You can find these at Wal-Mart, office supply stores, the Rhea Lana Store or large quantities may be purchased from Amazon.

You’ll also need re-sealable bags (for shoes, small toys, etc…), masking tape, scotch tape, sharpie, and safety pins. For large quantities of quality safety pins we recommend ordering from Cleaners Supply .

If you would like to print your barcodes at home you’ll need adhesive address labels size 1” X 2 5/8” (30 up). We recommend ordering from Amazon Here. Please note: all labels printed at home MUST be printed in color.

CLOTHING

Arrange clothing items by size within gender
Make outfits or sets where applicable (minimum price in system is $4 OK to group together exact size only).
Hang item(s) on plastic hanger so the top is in the direction of a question mark.
Pin string tag to the top of the left shoulder of each garment (only one string tag needed per item,outfit or set)
TIP: Pinning through the front and back of the garment and in between the top and bottom of the hanger ensures your garment will stay on the hanger.
TIP: Do not use too many safety pins (one for tops, two to secure bottoms on the top of a hanger).
TIP: Please freshly launder your clothing and do not include clothing with any stains or excessive ware and tear like pilling or fading.

TOYS & BABY EQUIPMENT - TOP Sellers!!

High Demand!

Toys must be clean & in working order with batteries and all power cords/chargers included.

Please inspect your toys carefully to ensure that they are not missing pieces or broken.

Bag small parts in a ziploc and attach securely to the main part with clear packing tape. Ask for assistance at consignor drop off if you need help.
WE CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST PARTS SO PLEASE SECURE THE SMALL PIECES.

Games must include all parts to be accepted. Please double check.

Small puzzles, books and toys should be grouped with like items in ziploc bags.
Wrap larger puzzles in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact.

When tagging toys, please attach a piece of masking tape to the bottom or back of the toy with your consignor ID and the price. The tape ID's your item if the tag falls off so we can sell it for you.

Large Little Tikes Toys, ride on toys and outdoor furniture as well as American Girl items are in very high demand! Especially if well-priced.

We sell the vast majority of Toys, Furniture and Baby Equipment!

SHOES

Please bring only very clean children's shoes. No soiled shoes or adult styles will be accepted.

Wash & let dry thoroughly.
Put a piece of masking tape on the bottoms of BOTH shoes with consignor ID, size and price.
Attach your string tag by looping around a strap or using a safety pin and attach the shoes with a zip tie OR place them in a plastic bag so they stay together.


Spring/Summer - White shoes, flip-flops, beach shoes, sandals and warm weather footwear. Leave wintery boots for next sale. Dance shoes sell very well as do cleats, etc.


Fall/Winter - NO white sandals or flip flops. Boots sell very well at this time of year so this is the only time we will accept them. Dance shoes sell well when very clean too.

BEDDING

It is best to package a bedding set together in its original clear plastic bag with zipper. Bags can also be purchased at discount stores.

If you can include a picture of a made up bed and a list of what is inside, you are sure to get good results.
Please be sure bedding has been recently laundered and neatly folded.


Bedding can also be neatly folded over a hanger or series of adult sized plastic hangers secured on both sides with a safety pin to avoid slipping. Label them (1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4, etc.) in the case of sets requiring multiple hangers.
Shoppers like to see the item's quality and condition so this may be an alternative depending on the size of your bedding.

TIP: Let your bedding sell at half price if it is still with us at the end of the event for best results.
There is often quite a lot offered.

BLANKETS

Hang and pin blankets over plastic, adult-sized hangers with a string tag on the blanket's left side OR put them in a large ziploc bag.
TIP: Shoppers will buy if they can inspect easily.
For small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together in a ziploc bag and seal with clear plastic tape.
Safety pin tag to ziploc bag and put consignor ID and price on the back of the bag.

LOOSE ITEMS

Group bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc. together with like items in ziplocs.
Pin or tape tag to ziploc bag. Label must be on a string tag NOT directly on the item.
Write consignor number and price on the ziploc with a Sharpie so we can ID and sell in the event of a missing tag.

CAR SEATS

Car Seats and boosters must be manufactured within 5 years are acceptable. If a car seat is specifically a "10 year" car seat, it is also acceptable if within 10 years from the manufacture.

Please check the MANUFACTURE date, not the EXPIRATION date. You must certify that you are the first owner of the car seat and sign that it has never been in an accident.
Run your items through our Recall Finder under the consign tab and order a manufacturer fix where applicable. Provide the fix kit or proof of fix installed at drop off. Without a manufacturer fix, recalled items are not sold at Rhea Lana's.

FURNITURE

High Demand for all types of children's furniture:
Changing tables, rocker/gliders, toddler beds, bunk beds, bookshelves, children's desks, etc.

CRIBS & BEDS

There is high demand for cribs and we accept those manufactured after 2013 and not recalled by the manufacturer.

Baby beds, Pack N Plays, Bassinets, toddler beds and children's beds are accepted if not recalled.
Tape string tag to the front, top, left side of the item and place masking tape on the back or bottom with consignor ID and price.
Cribs must be assembled by consignor at drop off
